Week 3 of the NFL season is already in the books. Read on for ourĀ Stars NFL Power Rankings: Week 4 edition
Just five teams remain unbeaten after three weeks of Football but only three of them make it into the Top 10 of our Stars NFL Power Rankings ahead of Week 4’s games.
Position | Team | Comment |
| New England | So clearly the number one team right now. Look almost certain to secure a home playoff game, already! |
| Pittsburgh | A pathetic performance against the Eagles on Sunday. Big Ben’s comments post game were baffling as well. They need to lift, Bell’s return this week should help. |
| Seattle | Confidence boosting offensive week against the 49ers. The Defense is still elite, O-Line the main issue and keeping Russell Wilson healthy. |
| Denver | Siemian looked really good against Cincy, if he can play at somewhere near that level with their defense, Denver can certainly contend again. |
| Arizona | Talent filled roster that has started in uncharacteriscally inconsistently. Bruce Arians is too good a coach to doubt just yet, confident they can turn it around but need to get moving. |
| Green Bay | The defense is solid without being great and unless Aaron Rodgers plays out of his skin the offense is kind of similar? Failed to put Detroit away on Sunday despite dominant start. Eddie Lacy improvement was welcomed on Sunday. |
| Carolina | Carolina can’t keep Cam safe and are struggling with their famous run schemes. The defense was overrated last year too. Overall they need to lift. Big division game at Atlanta this week. |
| Kansas City | Dominant victory at home on Sunday where they got back to doing Chief things. Huge AFC game at Pittsburgh this week! |
| Minnesota | No AP, no worries. The system works well and Peterson hasn’t been above average for a while. In fact, he’s had only two games with 100+ rushing yards since Week 9 of last season. The defense is Top 5 quality and Bradford is an upgrade over Bridgewater. |
| Cincinatti | Sloppy start for the Bengals who were at least able to finally run the ball in Sunday’s loss to Denver. Slipping down the list and need a solid win against the Dolphins this week |
| Philadelphia | Very impressive Philly! However, not enough to crack the Top 10 yet. Teams will work out part of what Wentz is doing eventually and although he is playing well they might be a fade in coming weeks. Love how well the defense is playing. Can Sproles keep up this high level of play? |
| Houston | One to forget last Thursday at New England. They get a 10 day break and a chance to return to somewhere near their best. Osweiler does look very shaky though. |
| New York Giants | Sloppy loss at home to Washington on Sunday. Too many penalties and poor execution across the board. They won’t get any favours this week at Minnesota either. |
| Dallas | Credit where it’s due, Dak and Easy E looked great on Sunday Night. Yet to beat a good team though and they’ll continue to leak points defensively. We need to see more. |
| Atlanta | Matt Ryan looks to be Matt Ryan again. They’ve got offensive weapons but have a brutal stretch coming up with games against Denver, Carolina, Green Bay and Seattle over the next month! Survive that 2-3 or 3-2 and they might make the playoffs. |
| Baltimore | They’ll continue to be a very solid home team and the defense is pretty good. Non-contenders in terms of a Super Bowl but a solid team who will be involved in close games all year long. |
| Oakland | Overrated still, but no doubting the talent they have. The defense is the big issue but a soft schedule in terms of offensive talent plays into their hands. |
| New York Jets | Fitzpatrick had a stinker and the game was a write-off in KC. The offense can bounce back, too much talent there for them not too. |
| Los Angeles | We know they are have a stack of talent and can compete on defense so they would have been rapt to see running back Gurley back in slightly better form. QB issue aren’t going anywhere though. Keenum isn’t good. |
| Washington | They’ve got some great receiving options and Cousins played better on Sunday. The division looks competitive all of a sudden. Compounding injuries also drop them down a spot or two. |
| Buffalo | Fresh off the 10 day break the Bills looked red hot in handling the Cardinals. McCoy getting somewhere near back to his best might be the key to the offense clicking. |
| Indianapolis | They lack talent but they do have TY Hilton and Andrew Luck. Are they a poor mans Atlanta? Maybe so. Defensively they are still awful and the O-Line isn’t getting any better. |
| Tampa Bay | Are the Rams sneaky good or are the Bucs just bad? Perhaps it’s a combination of both. Not ready to write off the Bucs just yet though. |
| Miami | The scoreboard against the Pats in Week 2 was flattering and they barely got past The Browns last week. Tannehill just isn’t the long term solution at quarterback. Where to now, Miami? |
| Tennessee | They’ll likely play teams tough all season but do appear to lack a bit of quality to finish games off. Missed Delanie Walker’s presence on Sunday. We need to see more from Mariota. |
| San Diego | Phil Rivers finally had a bad game as the Chargers fell to the struggling Colts. Injuries have smashed this roster, they’ll still win a few games at home as they can score points. |
| Detroit | With three consecutive home games coming up, a win this week at Chicago could be huge for Detroit. They have more scope than the others to scale up this list in coming weeks. |
| New Orleans | The defense continues to leak points and at 0-3 you can kiss goodbye to the playoffs. There is simply not enough talent to come back from this awful start. |
| Jacksonville | Bortles is overrated and away from home we doubt they can beat anybody. |
| Chicago | Mediocre is the word that springs to mind here. Not much to get excited about at all! |
| San Francisco | Projected losses against the Cowboys and Cardinals coming up, season might be over by early October. |
| Cleveland | Cleveland’s issues with talent have been compounded now with many injury issues. |
