Fresh from Fantasy Stars: Our Moneyball NBA thoughts for Friday the 4th March.
Overall thoughts on the slate of games
Ten games on the slate today and plenty of value on the board.
Memphis and Utah are two defensively minded teams and the total of 191.5 tonight is a big red flag.
Michael Carter-Williams is questionable to play tonight for the Bucks. If he’s out OJ Mayo and Jerryd Bayliss will see an increase in minutes.
Kevin Love (rested) is OUT tonight. LeBron and Kyrie will pick up the scoring load while Frye, Thompson and even Mosgov’s value increases marginally.
Evan Fournier is likely to return to the starting lineup for the Orlando Magic. Usage rates on Oladipo drop a touch and Mario Hezonja returns to the bench where his value drops significantly.

Players to consider
Point Guard
Kyle Lowry (Toronto) $9,700
Lowry is the play if you are going for a high-end point guard today. He performs well in big games and this clash with Portland should be huge. He had 50 fantasy points last time these two teams met and out of the top five point guards on the board, he is clearly the best play tonight. Emmanuel Mudiay, D’Angelo Russell, Isaiah Cannon and Elfrid Payton are all sound options to pair with Lowry tonight.
Shooting Guard
Devin Booker (Phoenix) $4,800
Booker is a very good young player and a bright spot in an awful Phoenix Suns season. Last night against the Miami Heat he had a career night putting in 34 points. Tonight against the Magic he has another high points total game to chase after and will have plenty of opportunities to continue to light it up. He delivered x8 production last night and he’s worth a play again.

Small Forward
Bojan Bogdanovic (Brooklyn) $3,600
Bojan is still a very fair price considering he’s now playing starting minutes consistently. He has a great match-up tonight against the Nuggets. He scored 26.7 and 31.9 fantasy points in the two recent LA road trip games and a similar performance tonight makes him an absolute must play. He’s close to the play of the night across any position.
Power Forward
Cody Zeller (Charlotte) $4,800
Interesting play tonight is Zeller who has a terrific record recently against the Pacers. He has put up an average of 12.5 points and 8 rebounds per game in both recent outings versus Indy. He looks likely to play around 25 minutes again tonight in what appears to be a close game. You can go many ways at Power Forward including playing Aaron Gordon or Mirza Teletovic again but Zeller is a low ownership option you should consider.
Centre
Alex Len (Phoenix) $5,500
Len makes for a good play once again tonight. The Suns will likely use Tyson Chandler to guard Vucevic quite a bit and keep Len free of foul trouble. He’ll also be able to crash the boards while Chandler is occupied boxing out Vuc. Len is averaging 16 points and 11 rebounds over the Suns last five games and he appears to have a terrific chance of delivering something greater than x5 value.
