Small slates often scare some of the sharks away right? Fresh from Fantasy Stars our NBA Daily Fantasy Tips for Friday November 18th (AEDT).
Betting lines and totals
It’s obvious to find the game that will draw the attention of daily fantasy players all around the world… Portland v Houston (222 projected points total) Lillard v Harden in a points scoring, offense first showdown!
The only real game with blowout potential is Minnesota v Philadelphia (11.5 spread) but the way the Timberwolves have played so far this season we shouldn’t be scared off by a potential blowout.
Premium play of the day
PG – Damian Lillard $8,600 Portland Trailblazers
Dame Dollar will be high-owned no doubt but ask yourself this, can you afford not to play him? He is coming off his worst game of the season (vs Chicago) and if you take that blemish out he’s had one game below 35 Moneyball points in 11 games. He gets an average Houston defense on the second day of a back-to-back and is our best play of the day.
Mid-ranger
PF – Taj Gibson $5,500 Chicago Bulls
A player who will not likely have high ownership but gets a favorable situation is Taj Gibson. The Bulls face the Jazz and will once again be without their starting power forward in Derrick Favours which makes the Gibson situation even more attractive. The super-low total doesn’t scare us off because it means there will be lots of rebounding opportunities on the interior for guys like Gibson who we’ve projected to score in the high 20’s tonight.
Bargain basement
PF – Ersan Ilyasova $3,800 Philadelphia 76ers
Iggy-Pop has worked his way into the starting role for the 76ers and played well last night against the Wizards. He only played 26 minutes though due to fouling out early and could have scored even more points. Tonight’s game against the Wolves should be high scoring and he will be better suited playing next to Joel Embiid (who sat last night) as he’ll get more opportunities to hit that corner three and for the most part will not have to guard Karl-Anthony Towns.
