Fresh from Fantasy Stars: Our Moneyball NBA thoughts for Sunday the 6th March.
Overall thoughts on the slate of games
We’ve got a few more games than usual for a Sunday, plenty of value on the card and interesting angles to play.
List of games in today’s bank are listed below.
Once again Utah have a pretty low points total as they take on the Pelicans.
While the Rockets/Bulls and Celtics/Cavaliers are both projected to be high scoring games.
Brooklyn is on a back-to-back and is nearing the end of a long West Coast road trip so be cautious of them.
Kevin Love will start today for the Cavs after being rested yesterday.
John Wall is likely to play but make sure you monitor his status closer to tip.
Jimmy Butler is back! The Bulls really need to resurrect their season so you can expect Butler to get plenty of work straight off the bat although he must be some kind of risk in his first game off a long absence.
Shooting guard is pretty weak today with only James Harden and the returning Butler priced above $7,000.

Players to consider
Point Guard
Shelvin Mack (Utah) $3,500
The Mack attack is back! He’s still dirt cheap so even if he has a bad game he can deliver us 4x production. That’s a safe floor to play with. Especially considering he does have a nice favourable match-up tonight against the Pelicans and we’ve projected him scoring 25 fantasy points. That would be x7 value and he’s an absolute must play in some of your lineups.
Shooting Guard
Kent Bazemore (Atlanta) $4,900
Bazemore has weaseled his way into some consistent solid minutes for the Hawks and he’s still very affordable enabling you to pair him with the likes of Harden or Butler. He’s averaging 28.8 minutes per game over his last 10 and he’s also a guard that rebounds very well so he can accumulate points in a few different ways. That removes some of the risk associated with streaking shooters at this position.

Small Forward
Bojan Bogdanovic (Brooklyn) $3,600
Plug and play the bogey-man today. The points total of 215 is much higher than regular Brooklyn games and the offense is flowing much better under interim coach Brown. The match-up isn’t ideal if you look at season data on the wings but you’ll notice in recent times Minnesota have inserted LaVine into the starting lineup and they are actually bleeding points at the two-guard and small forward positions. They’ve conceded more points at these two spots than any team in the entire league over the past ten games.
Power Forward
Paul Millsap (Atlanta) $8,400
This is one of those picks you make that goes against the straight numbers, projections and data we sift through. He’s in a terrific spot tonight to capitalize on the Clippers small-ball lineups. With no Blake Griffin Doc Rivers has been playing Paul Pierce, Jeff Green and Luc Richard Mbah A Moute alongside DeAndre Jordan. Paul Millsap is a banger, and he will feast on all of those guys. This game smells of a signature 20 point, 15 rebound Millsap beatdown. Thinking he’ll be low ownership today as well. Go get em!!
Centre
Dwight Howard (Houston) $8,600
You kind of get the feeling Dwight has the reputation of being a tournament only guy given he’s got some obvious character issues. However he’s only scored below 30 fantasy points once in February and has had more than 13 rebounds in eight of his last 10 matches! The Bulls banged up front court should mean the Rockets give plenty of opportunities to Dwight inside and he looks a terrific play today.
