Fresh from Fantasy Stars: Our Moneyball NBA thoughts for Tuesday the 8th March.
Overall thoughts on the slate of games
Orlando v Golden State is the highest total of the night at 225. You can bet the Warriors will be fired up after yesterdays shock loss to the Lakers at the Staples Centre.
San Antonio play Indiana and that’s the lowest total of the night.
Paul George will have to contend with being guarded by Kawai Leonard which surely reduces his fantasy value.
All the games on the Moneyball Bank slate are listed below.
Anthony Davis’ battle with DeMarcus Cousins will be crucial tonight.
Dirk Nowitzki, Taj Gibson and Derrick Rose are all expected to play tonight but all three should be checked on closer to lockout if you decide to play them.
Keep a close eye on the Sacramento Kings injury report with Rudy Gay and Rajon Rondo both listed as game-time decisions. They are both pretty high usage guys and if either one of them is out Boogie Cousins who is already pretty high on our numbers becomes a lock.

Players to consider
Point Guard
Jrue Holiday (New Orleans) $7,900
Terrific match-up for Jrue who’s now back in the Pelicans starting lineup. Norris Cole is a GTD which will only help his projections. A high total and a close line gives Jrue every chance to fill up the stat sheet. He’s projecting a juicy 35 minutes tonight and we’ve got him down to deliver x6 production which for a top tier point guard is massive. One of the best plays on the board and we’ll have high Holiday exposure in Moneyball lineups today.
Shooting Guard
OJ Mayo (Milwaukee) $3,500
Mayo looks a great play tonight especially after news that Michael Carter-Williams will undergo surgery and is likely out for the year. Mayo is projecting 32 minutes on our numbers tonight and is super cheap at the bargain basement $3,500. Confident he’ll deliver us x5 production at a minimum tonight and he’s a great starting point in all lineups.

Small Forward
Harrison Barnes (Golden State) $4,300
Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala are both questionable for tonight’s game against the Magic which will result in a huge bump to Barne’s minutes at both the forward positions. He’s dirt cheap and will play 30+ minute tonight. Looks to have a solid floor and a pretty high ceiling if both of his teammates miss tonight.
Power Forward
Aaron Gordon (Orlando) $6,000
He’s been a regular in our lineups of late and tonight he’s right up there with the play of the day. He played super against the Warriors a few weeks back and with a high total tonight and a decent pace to the game he will be suited once again. He’s projecting 32 minutes on our numbers today and should be in a good chunk of your lineups.
Centre
Al Jefferson (Charlotte) $4,200
Big Al has dropped off over the past 18 months but he’s priced too good to ignore tonight against the struggling Timberwolves. Only projecting 22.5 minutes tonight but that shouldn’t stop him putting up close to double-digit field goal attempts. However, because of his limited minutes, he does come with a slight element of risk. Although he brings a massive 26% FanDuel discount! Vucevic, Monroe and Bogut are all high on our numbers tonight as well and we’ll use them to spread our exposure in some lineups.
