Fresh from Fantasy Stars: Our Moneyball NBA thoughts for Tuesday the 15th March.
Overall thoughts on the slate of games
Memphis and Chicago are the two teams we need to keep a close eye on tonight.
Rose is 50-50 to play, Jimmy Butler looks likely to play, Gasol is out and Mirotic might be back on starters minutes. It’s a jungle!
Memphis can’t take a break, Zach Randolph will miss again and Lance Stephenson is listed as questionable.
Newly signed Ray McCollum becomes a viable play at guard if Lance is ruled out.
Plenty of games tonight so if you want to avoid risk you can always try fade some of these Grizzlies and Bulls players.

Players to consider
Point Guard
Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City) $11,200
There isn’t a player in the NBA who’s a better daily fantasy stud than Westbrook. The best news is he is coming off a quiet game against the Spurs where the Thunder blew another fourth quarter lead. Angry Westbrook is the only thing better than normal Westbrook. He is officially on triple-double watch tonight against Damian Lillard and the Portland Trailblazers.
Shooting Guard
Devin Booker (Phoenix) $6,300
Booker’s price keeps going up but the kid keeps producing! He’s averaging 25ppg and 6.4 assists on 39 minutes a game over his last five! He’s been one of very few shining lights on this disastrous Phoenix Suns season and he’ll have every opportunity to fill it up again tonight. His price may have gone up but he’s only scored below 30 fantasy points once (27.6) in his last six games!
Small Forward
Matt Barnes (Memphis) $4,800
No Randolph, no Conley, no Gasol and it seems likely there will be no Lance Stephenson tonight as well. That makes Barnes a lock on our projections. He’ll play as many minutes as he can handle and take 12+ field goal attempts. He was average against Atlanta but prior to that scored an enormous 58 fantasy points (10x value).
Power Forward
Tobias Harris (Detroit) $6,300
The Pistons are tracking toward a playoff spot and recent acquisition Harris has been playing well. He is ultra consistent at the moment (see below) his stats over the last five games have been terrific. We like his matchup tonight against the Wizards and we love his chances of something north of x5 production.
Centre
Karl-Anthony Towns (Minnesota) $9,200
There really isn’t enough good things we can say about KAT. This kid is only 20 years old and has had a terrific first season in the league. He’s the runaway Rookie Of The Year. He has a great matchup tonight and is projecting to play plenty of minutes once again. He’s had 2 x 50+ games in his last four and something close to that tonight will be a great anchor to your lineup.
