Fresh from Fantasy Stars: Our Moneyball NBA thoughts for Thursday the 14th April. The last Thursday bank of the regular season!
Overall thoughts on the slate of games
Massive night in NBA history. It’s Kobe’s last ever game and the Warriors take on the Grizzlies in their quest to win 73 regular season games and beat the Bulls long-standing record that was thought to be untouchable. There is also a few playoff spots and seeds to be decided so it should be a great night.
There is a good chance Atlanta might rest their starters for tonight’s game. If the news doesn’t break before the lockout we will likely fade that game as much as we can.
Orlando are already without Oladipo who might be joined by Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic on the sidelines.
Rudy Gay and Boogie Cousins will miss for the Kings and Alec Burks is unlikely for the Jazz.

Players to consider
Point Guard
Stephen Curry (Golden State) $10,800
How can you not play the King on his night of nights? This is Steph’s coming out party folks. After today he should become the best player on the best regular season team of all time. Now that’s an impressive title to take home.
Shooting Guard
Seth Curry (Sacramento) $3,600
Steph’s bro has caught fire toward the end of the season and the Kings as we know are missing Boogie and Rudy Gay tonight. He has a license to thrill once again and will be tossing up a ton of threes. At $3,600 plug and play so we can load up on some safety elsewhere.
Sean Kilpatrick (Brooklyn) $3,700
The Nets are historically bad now that they have sat Thad Young and Brook Lopez. They have also freed up a ton of shots each night in their rotation. Kilpatrick has been super impressive since joining the squad and a real shining light on the awful Nets season. His form is around x9 production and he is a must play again tonight.
Small Forward
Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee) $8,900
Greek Freak is another guy who looks likely to play and lock away some points for us on a tricky night. The Bucks have actually been a very good home team this season and lucky for them they get to close out what’s been a disappointing season in Wisconsin. Prior to last game he had five consecutive scores of 44 fantasy points or higher and that kind of production would be just fine tonight!
Power Forward
Draymond Green (Golden State) $9,600
How can you forget about Dre tonight? One of the most competitive beasts in the NBA and we know how badly this Warriors team want to reach that 73 win mark. On a night when players can sit at any moment and late outs from team lineups are plentiful he is actually one of the safest picks on the board tonight! Pair him with a low-cost high upside player like Jerami Grant.
Centre
Dwight Howard (Houston) $6,500
Love this pick today on a night with a stack of good centres sitting out. Houston MUST WIN and they play the Kings without Cousins and Gay. George Karl (Sacramento Coach) is also set to be fired tomorrow. Dwight has been in the midst of a dry spell fantasy wise but everything is in place for him to have a 15 rebound game tonight.
