Fresh from Fantasy Stars: Our Moneyball NBA thoughts for Friday the 4th March.
Overall thoughts on the slate of games
We have just a small slate of games today with some decent size underdogs all at some risk to blowouts.
Two game totals above 220 including another OKC/GSW match up with the big question if Steph Curry will play?
Phoenix vs Miami has blowout potential but on such a short slate will feature heavily in fantasy production on both sides. When Bosh misses this season Whitesides Moneyball ppg has increased from 32.7 to 47.6ppg and Wade will be very popular across lineups. From Phoenix we will see Len and Teletovic as popular choices across lineups tonight.
Western Conference powerhouses Golden State and Oklahoma City are on road Back-to-back’s tonight also while New Orleans return home on a B2B after playing @ Houston last night.

Players to consider
Point Guard
Russell Westbrook (Thunder) – $11,800
We expect nothing more then another shootout between these 2 powerhouses of the Western Conference. As detailed in our feature article on Westbrook’s fantasy production he is a stud who gives his all every time he steps on the court. He’s blowout proof and has no issues performing against the GSW cracking 50 moneyball points in both games vs them this season. We can’t see a reason why you don’t build your line-up around Mr Reliable once again.
Shooting Guard
Dwyane Wade (Miami) $6,700
We continue to play Wade while his usage remains sky-high in the absence of fellow All-Star Chris Bosh. Phoenix leak points at all positions and Wade will benefit with one of the easiest matchups he will get in the SG position. Wade should be able to dominate and is available at the bargain price of $6,700 compared to the $7,500 on FD.

Small Forward
Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio) $8,200
The small forward spot is tough to find value and we are happy to play it reasonably safe here on Leonard. Leonard sits on top of our projections for value in his position with only Durant a higher projected score. Leonard has only been under 38 once in the last 8 games and we expect his regular 40-45 to reach 5x value.
Power Forward
LaMarcus Aldridge (San Antonio) $7,200
Another with such a high floor and coming up against Sacramento a team that is well below average DvP. In recent games he has had no problem scoring both 40+ vs Sacramento on a recent basis with our projections have him exceeding 5x value tonight.
Check out his game log.
Centre
Alex Len (Phoenix) $5,400
We expect Len to be highly owned in all formats at his excellent value. Len is getting the minutes and coming off some great production with 5 and 8.5x value in his last 2. Center is a struggle to find value outside of Len but we will look at considering the upside of Whiteside without Bosh in GPP formats.
