The folks at Moneyball have upped the ante this AFL season and there is a juicy GPP for us to attack this Saturday the 16th of April. $7,000 Sunday Funday!
Here’s the slate of games we are dealing with today.

Players to consider across the board
Forward
Caleb Daniel (Western Bulldogs) $5,100
What we love about Daniel is that he is scoring great without kicking bags of goals. He is a possession getter and for that reason he has a nice high floor. The Bulldogs should run rampant on the Blues today and a few goals as well would be nice Caleb!
Alex Sexton (Gold Coast) $4,300
Sexton is another who is a possession grabber and any goals is where his upside comes from. He appears an absolute lock for x15 production and well positioned to deliver something more like x20 which would be outstanding!
Mids
Sam Mitchell (Hawthorn) $8,600
Boomer Harvey might be the ultimate AFL Benjamin Button right now but how about Sam Mitchell? He is just so consistent. Through the midfield or across half back it doesn’t really seem to worry Mitchell. His skills over 25-40m are of the highest level, he’s so clean with the footy and he just refuses to play badly.
Gary Ablett Jnr (Gold Coast Suns) $8,100
Gaz is still a superstar of the league and he has the ability to score 150+ fantasy points on any given day. The Suns should beat the Lions today and little Gaz looks well placed for a three goal, 30 possession game.
Defenders
Matthew Suckling (Western Bulldogs) $6,800
This is our hunch pick of the day… Suckling has an element of ‘flat track bully’ about him. We expect that the Bulldogs beat the Blues comfortably today and Suckling might be the one to cash in on some cheap possessions and nail a few goals from the arc.
Kade Kolodjashnij (Gold Coast Suns) $6,700
Kolodjashnij is hardly a household name just yet but is gaining interest and looks to be a great fantasy play today. The Lions and Suns will duke it out in the QLD derby and this guy has proven he can find the footy, he takes marks and he also can rack up the tackles. He is a low ownership guy we are pretty keen to play today at the price that enables us to load up on midfielders.
Ruck
Tom Hickey (St Kilda) $4,800
Hickey is scoring consistently well and looks underpriced by about $1200 still on Moneyball. The fact he was able to score 100 in Round 1 is a good sign for high ceiling. We also like Matthew Leuenberger at this position to spread risk and allow us to load up in other positions.
