Fresh from Fantasy Stars, our tips, hints and advice for Friday Night AFL DFS!
SUMMARY AND TEAM NEWS
Moneyball’s $5,000 bank (just a $10 entry) is a must!
As we have mentioned before, to win the single slate AFL contests participants need to average a little over 15x per player.
A stack of changes for both the Tigers and Hawks tonight that will provide some interesting DFS angles for tonight.
FANTASY STARS PLAYERS TO CONSIDER
FORWARDS
Tim O’Brien (Hawthorn) $3,500
O’Brien has the ability to push past 60 fantasy points tonight. He’s named down back with Frawley and Hodge out which will ensure he’s a ‘vital’ Hawks player tonight. He’ll have every possible chance to push past x15 value and there is a few premium mids we want to play tonight so we are keeping it safe up ‘forward’.
Sam Lloyd (Richmond) $5,600
Lloyd is a seriously talented player still finding his way at AFL level. He’s shown glimpses of being a very good player. He can hit the scoreboard and push up the ground and gather 15+ possessions.
RUCKS
Shaun Hampson (Richmond) $4,300
Hampson comes back into the number one ruck position now that Ivan Maric has been dropped. The Tigers are on the ropes and it was a real statement from Hardwick to drop Maric after a few below average performances given the interrupted start to the season he had. Ceglar and McEvoy look correctly prices and the only player of value here tonight is Hampson.
MIDS
Anthony Miles (Richmond) $7,700
We love Miles tonight with no Cotchin and no Lambert he becomes the number one inside mid for the Tigers. He’ll be in the thick of everything trying to extract the footy to the likes of Deledio, Edwards, Menadue, Ellis and Martin! Has the ability to score 110+ and we think he’ll be low ownership tonight.
Isaac Smith (Hawthorn) $8,900
Smith is a hard running midfielder that should benefit from the fact that a few of Richmond’s key midfielders tonight are noted downhill skiers who don’t love running both ways. He can sneak forward and kick a goal or two to go along with 25+ possessions and that’ll do us just fine. No knock on Sam Mitchell who is coming off two quiet weeks but still looks the player most likely to score over 100.
DEFENDERS
Bachar Houli (Richmond) $8,500
We have to pay up here for Bachar because he is the only defender on the board tonight we can see going over 100 fantasy points at least 50% of the time. Pair him with one of the two $3,500 options and pray for some rookie upside!
Kaiden Brand (Hawthorn) $3,500
A Hawks debutante who has averaged 17 possessions and eight marks a game in three VFL games this season. He’s been in the system four years now so his chances of adapting quickly to this level are increased. We think that a score of 60+ is not out of the question which for his price would be great value!
