Fresh from Fantasy Stars, our tips, hints and advice for Friday Night AFL DFS!
SUMMARY AND TEAM NEWS
Finally, we have a genuine Friday Night blockbuster for us to sink our teeth into.
Crows v Cats in what is Patrick Dangerfield’s first trip back to the City of Churches since moving to Geelong.
It’s such a tough game to pick so we are stacking with some ‘matchwinners’ on either team. Midfielders that can kick goals might be the difference.
Moneyball’s $5,000 bank (just a $10 entry) is a must!
As we have mentioned before, to win the single slate AFL contests participants need to average a little over 15x per player.
FANTASY STARS PLAYERS TO CONSIDER
FORWARDS
Daniel Menzel (Geelong) $4,900
Menzel is a great price and too hard to ignore. He can accumulate disposals across half forward and the wing as well hit the scoreboard. He’s scored above 63 in all five of his games and his best is yet to come!
RUCKS
Mark Blicavs (Geelong) $8,500
The Big Geelong Ruckman is pricey but he is in such great form and had he been kicking straight he’d be scoring even more! It’s a tricky night at the ruck position with Jenkins and Stanley the cheaper options on the board. We see more value elsewhere though and happy to take the premium ruck option here.
MIDS
Joel Selwood (Geelong) $9,000
Take your pick in the midfield tonight. There are quality options galore! Dangerfield will no doubt cop plenty of attention so we have decided to play Joel Selwood instead. You can bet he’ll be out to set the standard and ensure his new teammate gets through with a win. Other midfield options we like are Rory Sloan, Motlop and Mitch Duncan.
DEFENDERS
Luke Brown (Adelaide) $5,300
Our play of the night for the back six is Luke Brown for the Crows. He’s scored over 100 fantasy points twice this year already and he has only scored below 50 once this season. That’s a perfect high floor, high ceiling option for us that will save some cash for a midfield stock up.
