The second and final AFL Finals game of the weekend is between the Crows and the Swans at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday night. Our five fantasy locks for the game can be found below!
Dan Hannebery – Midfield – Sydney – $9,500
Ok, here’s why you’ve got to pony up the maximum price on the board and play Dan Hannebery. He comes in with six straight 100 point fantasy games under his belt, three of which were with scores over 130. He has only scored below 80 ONCE all season long and the last time these two teams met he absolutely torched the Crows racking up 38 disposals to go with three scoring shots. He’s a jet, he’s now a three-time All-Australian and he’s a lock!
Sam Jacobs – Ruck – Adelaide – $7,600
He’s the number one ruck on the slate and for good reason. The Swans are starting two inexperienced players in Nankervis and Naismith that he really should be able to exploits. We toyed with the idea of taking one of the Swans duo, who are both priced at $4,600 but kept coming back to one main point. We can’t see either of them scoring over 100 and Jacobs has done so seven times this year (six scores in the 90’s also). If you skimp out here and Jacobs goes big against you, it’ll be too hard to fight back. So for cash games especially, keep him safe and on your side.

Xavier Richards – Defender – Sydney – $5,000
Richards looks to be underpriced by at least $500 based on his season average per game and steady form. In seven games this season he is yet to drop below a return of 65 points which we love. With no Tippett in the team the Swans will be counting on the big fella to bob up and take a few marks inside 50 and hopefully convert at least a couple of goals. He’s a no-nonsense solid pick for the price.
Harry Marsh – Defender – Sydney – $3,500
Risky pick here as it does have an air of bust potential but the upside is too good to ignore and there are too many premium mids on the board, we have to skimp somewhere! Marsh’s last two games have been a bit better and if you remove the score of 28 his form against the Giants you can find a little positive. The other main point is that he’s only played five games this year and he has scope for improvement still. He looks to have found a spot on the half-back flank and has a chance to play on a Grand Final side, go and take it son!
Lance Franklin – Forward – Sydney – $8,300
Cometh the man, cometh the hour! Buddy Love missed out on the big stage last year but has the perfect scene for a career defining game this Saturday night. The Swans are coming off a loss to their cross-town rivals and he’s without his twin-tower mate Tippett, it just feels like a MASSIVE Franklin game. He has a high ceiling having cleared 100 fantasy points 10 times this season (seven games in the 90’s also). We fancy him against Tahlia who is a different player to Phil Davis who played exceptionally well on Franklin last week keeping him goal-less. A hungry Buddy is a dangerous one and if he can’t fire the Swans are vulnerable. If you’re tipping Adelaide to win perhaps it’s a good idea to fade Franklin, he’s been held goalless three times this year that resulted in two poor losses and an ordinary win over North Melbourne for the Swans. However, we think the Swans will prevail and Buddy will go big, bring it on!
