With the JLT Community Series now behind us we’ve decided to release the latest version of our Fantasy Stars SuperCoach team for season 2017.
It was a big week of changes in the team as we found out more about some rookies, got a bit worried about some premiums and also had to adjust for the injury to Stephen Coniglio.
The following draft is getting closer to a final product SuperCoach team for us although we will concede we have one or two more mid-priced players than we’d ideally like.
As we get more clarity on the rookies prior to Round 1 we’ll likely have to make a tough call on at least one of Swallow, Beams, Nankervis and Roughead.
Josh Kennedy and Andrew Gaff come in from the Eagles. We are tipping a big season for the Eagles who look very strong at every position but Ruck following the shoulder injury to Lycett.
Taranto becomes pretty close to a lock up forward (as a mid) with Deledio and Coniglio out early in the season.
Roughead looks to have built a sound preseason base to perform right from Round 1 as the Hawks will be without Luke Hodge (club suspension).
Nankervis and Sandilands help to form a mid-price ruck combo we like although big Witts from the Gold Coast is on our radar.
O’Meara, Hannebery, Dangerfield and Fyfe all look to be locks heading into Round 1.
The rookie crop in the midfield is hollow and our current group at this stage feels pretty stable. Round 1 selection will tell the final tale though.
Heath Shaw comes in down back as we are struggling to find reliable premiums and do concede he might be slightly too expensive at current quote.
