Well, with just 20 days until the start of the AFL season we thought we’d give you the first look at our SuperCoach team (as prepared by our AFL Fantasy guru) as it currently stands and why.
The following team is just an interim draft that we are working on each and every day.
Roughly 50% of the team is set in stone barring injury, another 25% are close and the rest is up for debate in coming days.
We’ll keep you posted each week leading up until Round 1 and then on throughout the season.
Defenders
Our locks at this stage are Laird, Hampton, Vickers-Willis.
Adams is a wait and see depending on health but there is a lot to like if he’s up and going.
Johannisen we are warming toward while the other rookies are all to prove themselves.
Midfielders
Hannebery we are very keen on, same with Pendlebury while O’Meara is as close to a lock as possible.
Happy to play two mid-priced mids and plug in Swallow as well.
Nat Fyfe is a wait and see on preseason health while Andrew Gaff is the most likely premium midfield to be subbed out.
Powell-Pepper, Hibberd and Brodie are all likely to stay in the team.
Rucks
Max Gawn is premium as it gets in the ruck position and we are confident he goes big again.
Preuss has shown enough to be a cash cow on the bench to seriously consider while we are warming to Sandilands.
Alternatively, you also play Cameron as your rookie ruckman and free up a forward spot.
Forwards
Dahlhaus looks poised for a career-best season and is a luxury premium option up forward.
Roughead will be high ownership but hard to miss and then we have Motlop and Buddy Franklin who are expected to be low owned across the board.
Parfitt looks a future star but uncertainty ahead of Round 1 has us scared. Darcy Cameron will get opportunities this season.
Bowes, Florent and Black to be assessed further this week.

Good luck in the coming SuperCoach season!
