Richmond is 3-0 while the Hawks and Swans are 0-3. It’s been an odd start to the season! Another solid performance for the Fantasy Stars SuperCoach squad, read on for our SuperCoach Round 3 Review.
We made one trade during the week with The Hyphen Will Hoskin-Elliott coming into the squad for Jared Pickett.
Hoskin-Elliott was busy against the Swans and will prove outstanding value for money although we did notice he wasn’t moving freely at a few times on Friday night. Something to monitor going forward!
We managed to score a serviceable 2243 SuperCoach Points despite carrying a few poor performances from premiums like Heath Shaw and Lance Franklin.
Captain Dangerfield chalked up another big score while the Fremantle duo of Fyfe and Sandilands delivered big time in the Saturday night victory.
Bontempelli and Dalhaus went big as did Selwood and Adams.
Jaeger O’Meara like most of the Hawks had a day to forget and Crows star Rory Laird was slightly down on his usual output.
The unsung hero of the round though was big man Jarrod Witts who scored 46 points above his projected figure for the Suns.
He’s proving to be a great value play for us.
With only two trades burnt so far and 190k in the bank, we are poised to make some improvements this week.
Most likely we will look to bolster the back line where the Atley Experiment is yet to prove fruitful and Heath Shaw’s slow start to the season has let the team down a bit.
Promising signs that rookie Brandon Parfitt played well for the Cats while other cheap plays Butler and Otten again impressed.
Powell-Pepper will bounce back (first showdown) while Barrett had a decent scoring game for the Lions.
So, we’ll do it all again next week. We’ll chat closer to the announcement of the Round 4 teams.
Happy SuperCoaching Folks,
