Round 18 was solid for the Fantasy Stars SuperCoach squad although we didn’t reach the lofty heights some of our competing coaches did.
The Round 18 score of 2366 points just snuck into the top 10% of round scores overall.
Dustin Martin top scored for us with a massive 150 points as the Brownlow battle heated up another level.
Big Toby Nankervis has been outstanding value for us this season but looked tired on Sunday against the Giants. He’s had to shoulder the majority of the ruck load for the Tigers this season and as we’ve hinted at a few times we are worried about his production down the stretch.
Full scoring breakdown from the weekend below;
Todd Goldstein being dropped by Brad Scott wasn’t ideal but young Darcy scored 87 valuable points to fill the gap. Goldy is a bit of a wait and see down the stretch and certainly a candidate to being replaced by someone like Max Gawn.
Dalhaus and Macrae got back to business up forward which coincided with one of the Bulldogs best performances of the season against the Suns.
The midfield continues to fly along and Hugh Greenwood continues to look like a superstar in the making! Tommy Mitchell, Dangerfield and Dusty Martin are the glue that keep delivering the goods.
Hibberd and Docherty down back have been rock solid since coming into the team and the weekend gone was no different.
Nank and Jake Lloyd were the two players that let us down over the weekend.
A Nank upgrade is right along side a Goldy swap on our trades to-do list in the last few weeks of the season.
We’ve again dodged the majority of injury concerns and this round will be looking to use at least one of our six remaining trades to shake things up.
How did you go over the weekend playing AFL SuperCoach and Dream Team competitions? Are any of you a chance of taking home the major title?
