Yet another weekend of wild and whacky AFL results, thankfully the SuperCoach gods were shining upon us! Read on for our Round 9 SuperCoach Review!
We scored 2335 SuperCoach points in Round 9 which was good enough to comfortably exceed the top 5% average score for this week.
Overall we are ranked 3451 of 202,162 coaches and as long as we can manage the bye periods well we look a good chance to finish in the top 5% which was our internal preseason pass mark!
Scoring breakdown from Round 9 below;
With big J Witts on the sidelines we moved Nankervis from the forwards into the Rucks and he and Sandilands were able to combine for 200+ points.
The ruck position has been very steady for us all season long but we did toy with the idea of trading for Todd Goldstein during the week!
It was the forward half that didn’t fire on all cylinders; Heeney, Franklin, Dalhaus and the newly traded for Toby Greene all had outputs below expectation up forward while Taranto kept on trucking his value upward.
Darcy Cameron had a huge game in the Swans reserves and hopefully isn’t far off getting a go in the senior side.
Down back, Heath Shaw let us down once again but with the limited amount of premium defenders we are happy to ride him out. Hibberd, Laird and Adams are simply flying!
Our midfield went big, Dangerfield and Selwood got things started and Tom Mitchell and Dusty Martin finished things off.
Special mention to young Jake Barrett who was able to fill a whole with SPP on a bye.
Going forward we need to continue to manage our bye weeks and look at upgrading a defender.
Exciting times ahead as the squad is starting to look pretty strong across the board.
