After a horror Round 7, we were able to bounce back with a reasonable Round 8 SuperCoach effort. Read on for the full summary.
We scored 2209 SuperCoach points in Round 8 that was ‘solid’ across the board.
Full scoring summary for the weekend below,
Adam Treloar didn’t come up for the Pies clash with the Giants but with Powell-Pepper accrueing points as emergency we were safe.
Marchbank and Vickers-Willis did the job for their price down back while premiums Taylor Adams and Rory Laird delivered, yet again while Heath Shaw put in an inconsistent performance – yet again!
Our Sandiwitts ruck duo delivered the goods as per usual while the newly traded forward Isaac Heeney was outstanding for the Swans yesterday.
Yes, we were one of the unlucky squads who traded out Nic Newman last week – this week he was a late inclusion and scored 150 points.
On a three-week rolling average pricing system, he’s about to become a great cash cow that we’ve missed out on.
The one positive from the disaster situation was that the man we traded in, Hibberd went big for the Dees in their win over the Crows.
We’ve got 20 trades left and 94k in the bank.
We need to upgrade at least one more of our lower-priced defenders, the issue is finding a reliable premium down there.
The same goes for the forward line, we’d love to upgrade either Taranto or the Hyphen but burning two trades is a big commitment and there isn’t many more Isaac Heeney’s left on the board!
