Mostly dry conditions are to be expected with the West Coast Eagles warm favourites at home. The wind doesn’t look to be to anything serious with an expected temperature of 15 degrees.

Jonathan Giles – Ruck – West Coast Eagles – $4,300
Giles impressed us two weeks ago as a bargain basement play. He’s only risen in price slightly and at $4,300 again this week it’s hard not to put him in a good stack of lineups. He scored 97 Moneyball points against the Crows and got it done in all categories. 29 hit-outs, one goal, four marks, 15 disposals and three free kicks for. Something similar against the Bulldogs would be great!
Josh Kennedy – Forward – West Coast Eagles – $7,800
We are paying a premium but there is a distinct lack of options up forward and Kennedy has been rock solid all year. He’s one of three forwards that have averaged more than 80 Moneyball points per game in 2016. The conditions look absolutely perfect for a key forward to kick a bag and Kennedy has the ability to do exactly that. He is also a sneaky outside chance to kick 100 goals this year with a big haul of goals against the Bulldogs!
Matthew Boyd – Defender – Western Bulldogs – $9,000
Rarely will you see us openly recommend premium players in our preview but Boyd is by far and away the best defender on the board and the question we asked ourselves was this… Can we afford to not have him? The answer was no! He’s in rock solid form and has only had one score below 80 all season long! He’s also one of the Bulldogs most experienced and level headed players which counts for something in an away final when you’re on an injured and inexperienced team.
** We are certainly not condoning picking up premium options, in-fact the premium/rookie strategy has been proven to be a very good one. Normally in our previews, we focus on the less obvious or the lower cost options hence the comment above about Boyd.**
