AFL DFS Round 3 results, summary, hints and tips
Players to consider
Forward
Matt Jones (Melbourne) $4,300
He should have high ownership today but we have to play him. He accumulates possessions while playing in the ‘forward’ position meaning that he doesn’t need goals to score fantasy points for us. If he does, it’s a juicy bonus! He has been hovering around x18-20 value and anything close will be lovely today!
Jarred Waite (North Melbourne) $6,800
It’s a tricky day to get excited about many forwards. Jarred Waite has been in stellar form so far this season and while there is the chance he is ‘due’ for a down game at least he is proven to be able to push past 100 fantasy points and the Kangaroos really should beat Fremantle comfortably today giving Waite every chance for another bag of goals.
Mids
Jack Viney (Melbourne) $6,500
Viney is one of the best tackling midfielders in the competition which is a great way to accumulate fantasy points. A few frees against and a couple of clangers affected his score last week and without them he would have been around the 100 point mark. We like him as a solid choice today and will surround him with premium options.
Jack Ziebell (North Melbourne) $7,500
Ziebell scored 140+ fantasy points last week of the back of an incredible 19 tackles! We like him as a solid pick to pair with Viney and we will then search for some low ownership guys to play alongside them!
Defenders
Ben Sinclair (Collingwood) $4,000
A good play here with Benny Sinclair. He has the potential to touch x20 value and we feel he is underpriced by at least $1,000. He’s already reached that x20 range before this season. Collingwood should prevail in a close contest and Sinclair looks a terrific cheap option.
Neville Jetta (Melbourne) $4,000
Neville looks to have found a spot in the Melbourne side and from there his confidence will begin to build. He’s already hovering in the great value zone through three games so far this season and has the potential to reach even further today. Lock and load with the cheap backs and fill out that midfield with stars.
Rucks
Todd Goldstein (North Melbourne) $9,600
We are fronting up big at the ruck position with big Goldy today. It’s a pretty lean day at the position and he has the potential to go big and put up 130+ fantasy points. We’ll scour for the value plays elsewhere.
